F.S.I. CLUB CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS

CONSTITUTION
ARTICLE 1- NAME AND PURPOSE
 
Section 1. The name of this organization shall be the Florida Invitational Racing Pigeon Club located in the Brooksvile/Spring Hill Florida area. The organization boundaries shall fall within the following bounds.
 
          Northern Boundary: 75 airline miles from Gainesville, Florida race station
          Eastern Boundary: Route I-75
          southern Boundary: State Road 54
          Western Boundary: East of the Gulf of Mexico
 
Section 2. The club shall be affiliated with the American Racing Pigeon Union (AU). It will compete and conduct its activities in compliance with the AU and IF rules and competition standards. Members may affiliated with other clubs or national organization as an individual as so desired.
 
Section 3. The purpose of this club is to engage in the friendly competition of racing registered homing pigeons. To promote the hobby of breeding and racing homing pigeons and to foster a positive social environment for members and families.

ARTICLE II - MEMBERSHIP
 
SECTION 1. Active Members: Any homing pigeon fancier who has participated in at least, (Select number) race(s) during the previous year, and is current in all dues and fees of the club and affiliate organizations is eligible as an active member, Members must be of good character and have never been suspended by a recognized racing pigeon organization.
 
SECTION 2. New Members: Membership into the club shall be by invitation only. Recommendations of individuals to be considered for invitation into the Florida Suncoast Invitational Racing Pigeon Club may be made by any active member of the club. A prospective member who has never been a member shall be eligible for membership if he is eligible to be an AU or IF member.  The prospective member must receive a 3/4 majority vote (secret Ballot) in favor by those active members present and voting. Prospective new members shall not be present. Membership shall not be denied based on any-one's sex or race, creed or religion.
 
SECTION 3. Probationary Membership: Any new member duly invited by the club, shall be a probationary member for twelve (12) months upon being accepted. During the probationary period, the new member has full entitlement to participate in race and activities sponsored by the club. At the first club meeting following completion of the member's probationary period, he or she shall stand for voting into full active member status. A simple majority of active members present may vote to install full active membership status. Once a new member has completed this probationary membership period, the club shall vote on him/her prior to conducting any other business and the new member shall be entitled to vote on all business considered at the meeting. Probationary member cannot hold an office for one (1) year.
 
SECTION 4. Junior Membership: in the club is restricted to persons under eighteen (18) years of age. Invitation to junior members shall follow three procedures of Article II.
 
SECTION 5. Associate membership in the club is restricted to any former flying member who  lives outside of club boundary as stated in section 1. Associates and members are not eligible to vote on club business. Associate membership will be twenty-five ($25) annually.
 
SECTION 6. Partnership loft shall be limited to one vote and one race loft location as defined in the AU Policies 100.02
